Experience Kent and The Old Dairy Brewery
Experience Kent and The Old Dairy Brewery this year – a secret gem of an attraction in the South East
We recently worked with the UK short breaks provider myhotelbreak when they visited us here at Old Dairy Brewery. Find out what they discovered in this guest blog edition:
The South East of England, https://www.myhotelbreak.com/hotels-in-south-east-england, is one of our favourite places to visit in the UK. The region of Kent really took our fancy. We had asked some of our guests a couple of weeks previously where they would recommend. Some had mentioned we should take in a brewery tour in Tenterden at Old Dairy Brewery.
We were looking for something a bit different and a brewery tour was really intriguing. We hadn’t really considered it till now. After doing some background into the attraction, we were more than sold thanks to the outstanding reviews and general feedback.
Let’s find out more…
As we wanted to see the brewery in full swing we went for the Thursday Tour at 2.30pm. Please note that it’s important to book ahead as the tours are by appointment only.
It was a wonderfully warm summer’s day and the setting of the brewery is really postcard perfect, set within a lush green landscape.
We were welcomed by our very friendly host Ginny. From the outset, the tour was truly fantastic. We were told what the tour consisted of, how long it was going to last while asking questions on anything was more than welcomed.
Ginny was so informative and very passionate about the brewery and the tour itself. We gained a real insight into the whole process as to how beer ends up in the bottle or pint glass. It was one of the best tours we had been on anywhere in the UK, partly in thanks to the friendly and relaxed atmosphere which we experienced.
The beer samples were more than memorable. We really loved the Kentish beer. Not only that, the offerings were large. So we definitely enjoyed them.
We can’t recommend this tour enough. Not only is it set within beautiful countryside but there’s so much on offer. From the expert knowledge of Ginny, to the beer samples and the opportunity to buy beer in the shop afterwards (which is a must).
A great attraction in a lovely setting. We will be back for sure.
